Following the Evolution of Personal Electronics

Technology has advanced into so many directions over the past 20 years. It is remarkable to see what we can do today with all the advances that have been made. Technology has changed the world and will continue to change the world in future years. It is about more than just using telephones or computers for office work or to keep our records straight and on file. We have enjoyed for years being able to use computers, but now it is like a must that one needs to own some type of computer for work, home life and communication.

Almost everything that was hand written and done with paper can now be used with a computer and computer software.  Even though some companies are not willing to change to a “paperless” process, time cards that needed to be stamped can now be done with a payroll calculator, letters can simply be sent as email and tons and tons of paper work can be processed electronically in a matter of seconds.  Business has become more efficient with all of these technological advancements.

Telephones are geared to do everything. You can search the internet and do your work while on the run by checking e-mails and sending text to your associates. You do not need to make long winded conversations and wasting time waiting for someone to talk to. Computers are used in your home, office and industries. They keep records, files and work over the lan to different offices all over the world to communicate. Hospitals are now using robots that do surgery. This is an amazing feat that science has given us. Doctors are now able to pull up certain health records immediately during an emergency to see what the person’s health record is. This is a lifesaving tool. You have now automated meter reading for your homes for your electric.

The advancement of technology is not going to stop. It is an everyday discovery of what we can do with electronics. We will advance with automobiles, boats, motorcycles and trucks to make them safer and run better. They are going to someday not even need gas at all and become affordable. It seems that there is nothing that today’s technology doesn’t do. Time continues to move on and so does technology changing the world.

Fifty years ago, who would ever have thought that a household could be 100 percent electrically sustained by a few solar modules by the side of the house? What about the ability to rely on the power of the wind for electricity and heating? How about driving an electrically powered car for a hundred miles before having to re-charge?

As technology that is geared toward a more friendly ecology advances, going “green” is becoming not only more feasible, but is absolutely essential. The whole idea of tending toward an eco-friendly environment is to become less reliant on fossil fuels. Collective carbon footprints are now simpler to mitigate with new and dynamic systems being implemented by research and technology.

One example of the developing eco-friendly world is in the form of cleaner power. Solar energy researchers are making huge strides in developing nanotechnology for photovoltaic elements. This accomplishes two things; creates a much more efficient solar module and substantially reduces the initial investment costs in installing solar systems.

Another source of sustainable energy that is being harnessed by technological advancements is the wind. Wind turbines come in many shapes and sizes and are situated throughout the world. They convert kinetic energy to mechanical energy, which is then used to produce electricity. Improvement of wind turbine is ongoing. If a wind turbine is out of your budget or too big for your house, buy an energy saving light bulb for personal use.

Gasoline, a fossil fuel, is a huge contributor to the carbon dioxide content of the atmosphere. The push now is toward more energy efficient vehicles in the form of electric cars. Through advancements and demand, the price of electric cars are slowly decreasing while the mileage range (currently about 100 miles before having to re-charge) is increasing.

As research and technology progresses, sustainable and affordable energy is the focus and the forefront of the future. A greener, cleaner world is now becoming an achievable universal goal.
