The computer is another great technological advancement that can be considered. In between the years of 1940 and 1945, electronic digital computers started in developments taking up a lot of power and space. These computers were very expensive, usually only used by the government and the military. However, throughout the years, specifically in the 1980′s and 1990′s, computers took off with a blast in advancements and have lowered in price. Nowadays, computers have evolved even more with advancements in laptops, faster internet connections, increased memory for your computer and are so affordable that almost every home has one.

The telephone has been a great device that lets us communicate with one another. It was developed in the 1870′s by Alexander Graham Bell and continues to make a great influence. The advancements on telephones have developed greatly in the 1990′s and 2000′s. One of the first cellular handsets was introduced in 1973. In the 1980′s and 1990′s is when the cellular phone really took off as one of the alternatives other than the land-line phones. In the first decade of the 2000′s is when cell phones really became a trend that took the world by storm.
